What’s Needed on Race Day
- Pros and Cat 1 riders must posses a current annual USA Cycling mountain bike license,
all other classes may purchase a 1-day license ($10 per day).
- All riders with an annual license must present their current license at registration...no
exceptions will be given. If you’ve lost your license please logon to USAcycling.org
and print the Print Authorization To Ride. We will not be providing Internet access
at the race venues so prepare ahead of time.
- Helmets must be worn when you are on your bike (yes that means even riding to the
registration booth). Helmets must also be worn at all times when on the race course
even if you pushing your bike.
How to be the Idaho State Champion
- You must have an annual license from USA Cycling. You can purchase them on-site
at the races or via www.usacycling.org
- You must be a resident of Idaho.
- The Idaho state champion for each class is based on the overall series.
- Series points are awarded by order of finish with the winner receiving 30 points,
2nd place 28 points, 3rd place 26 points, 4th place 25 points, 5th place 24 points
and so on. The best four out of five races will be totaled for your points (with
a three race minimum). If a ties occurs the final race standing will determine the
winner.
- If a rider upgrades mid-way during the season he or she may transfer 50% of their
points up with them.
- If a rider down grades in category points do not transfer.
Awards
- Custom Medals will be given to the top three participants in each category
- Prizes will be handed out to the series winners at the Series Finals
- Pros will receive a 40% pay back from the total pro entry fees to the top three finishers.
- Drawings will be held at each event for merchandise.
